  • Most likely! Aqua Yoga can be very gentle on the joints and that makes it an excellent practice for folks with injuries. Just being in the water reduces inflammation and lifts weight off your joints.

    However, if your injury is severe and prevents you from being able to get in or out of the pool on your own or walk in the water unassisted. A public class would not be a good fit.

  • No. You will not be asked to go underwater and getting your hair wet is optional.

  • No. These Aqua Yoga classes are practiced in chest-depth water. There may be opportunities to lift your feet off the floor and float, if that doesn’t make you comfortable alternatives will be offered.

  • Yes! The water literally lifts the weight of the world off you. And can be such a relief, especially in the 2nd and 3rd trimesters!

  • Yes! Aqua Yoga is a great way to start a yoga practice because it can be gentle and the kinesthetic feedback you get from the water is great for increasing body awareness.

  • Yes. Katherine is available for privates at Waterloo Swimming.

    If you would like a session at your private pool, that is an option too.
